    How do you make sure the heating elements inside the blanket are still safe and evenly working after previous use?
    We run a full thermal mapping test on every renewed unit. This involves heating the blanket to 75 °C (its max setting) and using infrared cameras to check for hot spots or dead zones. The heating grid must stay within ±5 °C across the main body zone. If a section shows uneven heat or delayed heating response, we replace the entire heating strip.
    Do renewed devices come with a warranty?
    Absolutely. Kala Renewed devices include a 2-year limited warranty covering functionality and performance.
    How do you verify the insulation hasn’t degraded with folding or long use?
    We physically inspect the inner padding for compression wear, seam separation, or signs of overheating, then pressure test it while heated. If it doesn’t maintain temperature or leaks heat excessively (especially near the edges), it’s re-insulated or rejected. Blankets with internal delamination never make it back on the shelf.
    Will the renewed blanket reach the same temperature as a new one?
    Yes, but only if it passes testing. During quality control, we compare its max temperature and ramp-up time to a new unit. It must reach at least 95% of the original max temperature and hold steady for a full 60-minute cycle. If it doesn’t, we either replace the heating components or scrap the unit entirely. Only blankets that perform like new are resold.
