Do the LEDs degrade over time? How do you check for that in a renewed unit?
Yes, like all LEDs, these slowly lose output over time. That’s why we test both irradiance and spectral stability during renewal. If the LEDs show more than a 10% brightness loss or a noticeable shift in color temperature, we replace the entire LED module. We don’t downgrade renwed lamps; they must match the light quality of a new unit.
What if the smart/app control or timer features stop working?
We treat the controller board and wireless module as separate components. If diagnostics show any connectivity errors, lagging response, or faulty timers, we flash the firmware or replace the board entirely. If a lamp cannot maintain stable smart functions after testing, it’s removed from inventory. You’ll only receive units with fully functional app and manual controls.
Will the light be patchy or uneven compared to a new lamp?
No. We run a uniformity check using a lux sensor array across the light surface. A renewed lamp must maintain at least 85% brightness uniformity across the panel, or it’s reworked or scrapped. If any zone has visible flicker or dead spots, the LED board is replaced. We also test for glare control to ensure the diffuser hasn’t warped or yellowed over time.
