If it doesn’t meet that threshold, the device is recycled for parts.

We log operating hours internally. Only units with fewer than 200 total operating hours qualify for renewal program. That’s less than 2% of the panel’s expected lifetime (over 10,000 hours). If a panel was used more than that, it doesn’t get renewed.
We inspect and, if needed, replace the power cable, controller unit, and worn straps. Any LED array with uneven output or signs of degradation is replaced entirely, not patched. The outer silicone housing is cleaned with medical-grade disinfectant or replaced if scratched or torn. Everything is reassembled and tested before repackaging.
