    How many hours of previous use does the device have?
    We track operational cycles during testing. On average, a renewed Kala Therapy Wand has fewer than 50 total operating hours. This is well within the device’s expected lifetime of over 3,000 hours. Units with heavier prior use are not renewed for resale; they’re recycled for parts instead.
    Do renewed devices come with a warranty?
    Absolutely. Kala Renewed devices include a 2-year limited warranty covering functionality and performance.
    Is the LED output (irradiance and wavelength accuracy) tested again after renewed?
    Yes, this is one of the most critical steps. After internal repairs, every wand undergoes wavelength calibration and irradiance testing using the same equipment we use for new devices. We confirm that the red LEDs emit at 630 nm ± 3 nm and blue LEDs at 415 nm ± 3 nm, with stable irradiance. If the output falls below spec, the unit doesn’t leave our lab.
    Are all original accessories (charging stand, goggles, cable, case) included in the renewed package?
    Yes, each renewed wand comes with a complete accessory set, either the original or a new replacement if the original didn’t pass our quality check. This includes the charging base, USB cable, protective goggles, and storage case. Everything is cleaned, sanitized, and packaged in new protective inserts.
